In Maskism we believe to stay apart from darkness as characters attempt in a game series titled "Kingdom Hearts". It was made by a collaboration of Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios. I thought the concept of the antagonists was interesting.

The minions of the main antagonist Xenanort are called heartless. At the basic level they are people who have had their hearts or rather souls taken away by other Antagonist such as Xenanort. I see them as mislead souls that were led into a trap by evil. The heartless start as dark beings seeking revenge as in Figure 1. They are later tricked by Xenanort into joining him as he will lead them to capturing Kingdom Hearts a heart shaped moon which holds all power in their universe. They join him seeking revenge as many people do in our world. Once someone has been hurt their vision is blurred and it is natural human instinct to want to get revenge. As their vision is blurred they are not aware of what is truly going on and will do everything as Xenanort has ordered. They do not realize they have been tricked as Xenanort is only doing this for himself in the end.

I believe the antagonist and his dominion is relate able to leaders of large corporations and nations or even a club.I believe this was Vladimir Lenin's strategy during the Russian Revolution. I am not suggesting that this was his initial strategy. I am however suggesting it may not be a leaders intentions but they get full of themselves and follow the wrong path. As Lenin rallied the people in Russia promising "Peace, Bread and Land" common needs of the people but eventually he died and Joseph Stalin took over and mislead the people and it became a corrupt dictatorship. I believe this can be related to Xenanort and the heartless in kingdom hearts also american corporations :).
